Combat Emotional Eating

Happy Valentine's Month! This season is a meaningful reminder that self-love isn’t just about celebration, it’s about self-awareness, growth, and intentional self-care. One of the most powerful (and often overlooked) influences on our well-being is our inner dialogue. The way we speak to ourselves can either support healthy habits or quietly drive emotional eating patterns. As we continue navigating uncertain times, our hope is that this article empowers your next steps with greater confidence, clarity, and control. Here’s to showing up well-spirited, grounded, and aligned in both mindset and meals. #SelfCare #WellBeing #EmotionalEating #MindfulEating #SelfDiscovery

What I’ve Learned About Healing My Relationship With Food

Here’s a throwback to all the dated themes that for some reason continue to appear as sound advice by our peers, family, and health world. These ideas shaped my own health journey and taught me valuable lessons about what not to do. I’m grateful for what they revealed, and I’m sharing them now in hopes of sparing you from the unhelpful habits and toxicity they can create, so you can move forward with greater clarity on your own path to well-being.

Prepare for a Healthy Holiday Season!

Holidays, celebrations, and “just one night off” often become the undoing of our health goals—because we think: “I’ll just starve now and feast later,” or “I’m going hard this month because I deserve to let go at year’s end.” There’s nothing wrong with treats or embracing enjoyment but there’s a difference between creating a memory that lifts you and one that costs you days (or weeks) of recovery. At Nutrition Custom Care, we believe that distinction comes down to intention and your willingness to take leadership over how you show up. You’re in control of your outcomes. You decide: will this season be a pivot point or a slip? Keep reading for strategies to walk into your celebrations with integrity, presence, and joy without losing yourself.

Food Truths that no one talks about

It’s no wonder we are having such a hard time with self-care, we were never taught to pause, reflect, and challenge ourselves and others to find out what’s working and not. Instead we’ve learned how to distract and mind-numb, removing all critical thought. Certainly there are pros in this approach since socially, it’s best not to “Rock the boat”. However, it does also come at a price in the food world, as it hinders all self-awareness and normalizes discomfort as a result. We’re happy to be defiant in this case and break out of social norms to spark Food Truths that finally align with your wellbeing. Let’s scratch this itch by reading this article to see what’s possible in your health journey.

My health journey was planted long ago when I saw my mother decline from having unhealthy habits. I followed in those footsteps initially with joy and excitement followed by pains and aches that came with those habits. It took decades to break from the cycle of unwellness. I look back now only to say thank you for this invaluable lesson. I hope this brief read, shares the value in making self-care one of your priorities!
