Use to and now!

Happy Dad's weekend/month and everyday that your superhero powers keep the family afloat and thriving. We understand it isn't easy and the sacrifices that come with this responsibility can compromise your overall health and well-being. This can create a snowball of ill effects where aging speeds up and burn out gets real sooner than later. We are happy to apply our trusted formula to delay the inevitable aging process that will take us all soon enough. This year, it's time to flip the script and gain a new approach/sentence perhaps and stop relying on the scale for answers!

I used to weigh ___ and now I’m ____.

I used to eat 5+ platters and had room for more because I was so active.

I used to jog thousands of miles….

I used to weight lift 100+ lbs easily

I used to…

Then life happened, and perhaps you stopped moving, sleep hygiene isn’t as sound, nonstop work duties at home and at work just get more stressful, and you feel like you can’t catch a break. You noticed that all the “I used to’s” are a thing of the past when you felt your best. Poor thing!

It’s not easy to experience what once was, where you were a hot commodity, but now, 20 years later, you’re feeling like a has-been; surely, it doesn’t help when your kids reinforce this concept either. You’re upsizing your clothes, finding that intermittent fasting just makes you more hungry and/or tired, can’t make time for the gym, and taking medications for preventable conditions that you thought would never happen to you. You know what I’m talking about! Life isn’t getting easier, and self-care decisions don't exist, or did it ever?

We hear this complaint or vent often, and they feel lost to where to start. Look no further, Nutrition Custom Care is here to help {*!*}. It’s never too late to change habits or learn healthy ones if they were never there. Learning them now will save you not only countless dollars but also provide quality of life vs. the additional problems soon if habits don’t change. Sure, we can harp and put fear in the ill effects to come when habits stay the same, but that’s a yucky way to approach this sensitive topic, though, we understand for some, this method can be just as effective to spark motivation. Instead, let’s review all the wins you’ll have and receive from doing this work!

  • Reduce/remove medications, thereby no more money spent or possible adverse effects

  • No more missed work days for endless doctor appointments that aren’t always a positive experience

  • Lab results that reflect the effort you put in

  • Buying clothes that you feel confident in

  • You made it to the train without feeling winded/faint

  • Playing with your kids and for longer periods of time, if this applies to you

  • Enjoying intimacy again

  • Having energy that lasts

  • Productivity on an ongoing basis

  • Emotionally content due to making time for yourself

  • Reduce inflammation

  • Stay youthful

  • Etc.

What’s even more promising about this work is that the strategies are simple! From experience, patients don’t feel deprived, hungry, or missing out on life events; even more so, they feel supported throughout this process. Having a newfound relationship with food has been a transformative experience for many who have traveled this path because you’re in the driver's seat. How you ask, we’ll educate and counsel while customizing a plan just for you.

Challenges in this process are expected; however, the work throughs are treasured discussions that we explore to improve the chances you’ll succeed since we understand changing habits isn’t easy, especially due to upbringing and your environment.
