Coming Full Circle

MY JOURNEY

I'm a former emotional eater who evolved into an Integrative Registered Dietitian.

I had many digestive problems growing up and found that I could help other people with their gut issues as a Certified Leap Therapist.

Lastly, I've had many disconnecting experiences during medical appointments, so I became an empathetic Holistic Coach.

Going against the grain of my upbringing and being driven to carve out my own path to well-being has continued to guide me on this amazing health journey. This work continues to transform my wellness and so many others who have come across my path!

Allow me to impart tried-and-true practices from 20+ years in the making so you too can find what it means to have freedom from illness, thereby achieving independence for life!

Frequently asked questions

Explain your training?

I graduated from Hunter College with a BS in Nutrition and Food Science to become a Registered Dietitian. Thereafter, I completed the dietetic internship through ARAMARK to be eligible for the RD exam! After passing, I worked in clinical settings, applying treatment modalities. After a few years, I discovered a huge missing component: how did people become sick in the first place? I knew that understanding eating and lifestyle behaviors would help me provide next level quality of care and promote the power of prevention. I immersed myself in additional studies that would provide the credentials needed to support specific challenges my patients were experiencing. Therefore, I became a Certified Holistic Health Coach and a Certified Leap Therapist trained to understand a Whole-body approach and use food sensitivity testing to find food inflammatory triggers, respectively.

How can you improve patient outcomes?

We provide tried-and-true strategies that are realistic and actionable now and life-long. They are evidence and practical-based! Over time, if you are committed and consistent with the practices, positive results are inevitable.

What is your counseling style?

We are transparent in discussing, educating, and imparting baseline strategies and structuring your meal plan so it's actionable and realistic in your day-to-day lifestyle. Although trained conventionally, we have found it more helpful to practice outside of the norm. For example, we make room for treats, include options to provide autonomy, and find gentle ways to approach challenging nutrition concepts. Lastly, curiosity remains a critical component of our care because health varies from person to person; therefore, recommendations are tailored accordingly.

Do you use any specific tools to support patient outcomes?

We use:

  • A HIPAA compliant Client Portal

  • Food journals

  • Hand measurements

  • Educational resources

          - Various websites/links/videos
          - Books
          - Webinars

  • Bloodwork to measure food sensitivity, as needed and applicable

  • 20+ years in the making of tried-and-true tools and techniques to meet your health objective(s) and more!
